The West Midlands is getting its own bike sharing scheme, which launches later in the year.

The docked bike share scheme, which is operated by Nextbike, will launch in September, with over 2,000 bikes available for hire in Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton. 3,000 more bikes will be rolled out (literally) in Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley and Solihull in 2019.

CycleBirmingham ride group looking super cool on the canal

Cycle Birmingham is the social side of Pushbikes, with regular rides to coffee shops and pubs across the city.

Want to do more cycling but worried you won't be able to keep up? This is the ride for you - there's no average speed, we go at the pace of the slowest person, and sometimes even slower than that because we've stopped to take a photo or just won't stop gassing. Or someone has ridden into a bollard and fallen off (that only happens occasionally).
