Around the world, the main reason why people don't cycle is because they consider it too dangerous. This has been shown in survey after survey. So why do people cycle in far greater numbers in some European countries? The answer is simply that in those countries infrastructure has been built for cyclists. Push Bikes members have been to some of those countries and researched infrastructure that encourages people to cycle. Some British councils are just beginning to do the same, and consequently have moved beyond "magic paint".
