Spatial Efficiency of Bikes Compared with Cars

Spatial efficiency of bikes compared with cars
Bikes are far more effective at moving people than cars. Walking is slightly better, but too slow to be practical for most journeys in a city. Public transport is much more effective, but it's not door-to-door, so it only works if the journey at each end is viable and there are not too many route changes on the way.
