Fahrradstraße (Bicycle Street)
"Fahrradstraße" (bicycle street) signs have been erected on this otherwise conventional road in Germany, making it illegal to drive in this direction. One can drive in the opposite direction, but cycles have absolute priority. By making it one-way for motor vehicles, there is, for minimal cost, more space for cycling. The British cycling demographic is biased towards young men in Lycra, but does this common site in Germany look like like young men in Lycra racing along at top speed to you? Cycling infrastructure widens the cycling demographic, as do e-bikes. The bike closest to the camera is very clearly an e-bike.
