The scene on the left will be all too familiar to British people. This scruffy road on the edge of Leicester city centre was used as a slip road from the A47 on to the ring road. It's all gone now. The A47 no longer exists at this point. In it's place is an access road and a wide segregated cycle path. The slip road has been narrowed and a 2.85 metre wide cycle path built along its length. The world has not ended. In fact Leicester city centre is thriving.
