Tandem Where NCN5 Crosses Broad Street at Bridge Street
This tandem belongs to a family of Push Bikes members who have gone car free. It is 2.06 m long, and contrary to what city council officers think, you can see it fits across the island where there should be filtered permeabilty. You can also see for youself that no trams were harmed whilst taking this photo. What wont fit is the tandem when it's towing a tag-along (which adds another metre). However, the out-of-city bus gate (to the right of the viewpoint) is about 2 metres narrower than the into-city bus gate, so an engineer who chooses not to be obstructive to the world's most ecological form of transport could find room even for this combo.
