It's possible the city council feels it's OK to create a pig's ear beyond Heath Street on the Dudley Road because they've provided a very good if lengthy detour via Heath Street and Winson Green Road, but not only is that a detour (making it contrary to the DfT guidance in LTN 1/20), it takes people away from the shops on Dudley Road. But hey, judged on its own merits, this is a good length of cycleway that hopefully will be extended in the future.
