At the end of the Northbrook Street cycleway there is access to the canal, but whilst it has a wheeling ramp, it is steep, tight, and difficult to use. It's worth remembering that this used to be where a railway crossed the canal, so there is plenty of space to build a proper ramp. Alternatively, maybe a connection could be made at Loverose Lane (I wonder who Rose was). Whilst these steps are convenient for the green way, if you quite understandably find heaving your bike up and down them difficult, the canal access at Clissold Passage will be worth the detour.
