Mean Maximum Temperature in the UK

Mean Maximum Temperature in the UK
This chart shows the average maximum temperature in the UK since 1885. In this time there has been a 1.5°C increase, mostly since 1980. Climate change deniers like to point to 1976, but this graph shows that whilst exceptional, it lags behind what is happening now. Moreover, unlike 2022, only the UK experienced the exceptional summer of 1976. In 2022 the entire northern hemisphere was affected, with drought and extreme temperatures all across Europe. Meanwhile Australia had a miserable winter of endless rain. This was all measured and recorded, not made up like a Daily Express story. As a non-expert you can place your faith in highly educated scientists who study the climate for a living, or you can believe scientifically illterate journalists paid by equally scientifically illterate newspaper owners with vested interests.
