UPDATE: This will take place at Austin Court, 80 Cambridge Street, Birmingham, B1 2NP.
Sustrans and the Birmingham Cycle Revolution are hosting an event to provide examples of infrastructure from around the world to provide inspiration for what could be achieved in Birmingham.
Details from Sustrans:
On October 21st Sustrans published the Birmingham Bike Life report http://www.sustrans.org.uk/sites/default/les/bike_life_birmingham_2015.pdf. A key message from the report is that improved cycling infrastructure in Birmingham will encourage more people to get on their bikes. We hope this event will inspire you with excellent examples of infrastructure from around the world including the UK and will include a discussion on how we can achieve the vision of the Birmingham Cycle Revolution.
Our guest speakers include Phil Jones an expert in cycle infrastructure design who will present on the International Cycle Infrastructure Best Practice Study, Ewan Hamnett an ex Birmingham GP who will tell us why getting more people cycling is essential for the health of Birmingham, and Will Haynes Sustrans Head of Built Environment who will present on some best practice examples of UK Cycle Infrastructure programmes.
