Four lanes for SUV drivers, whilst pedestrians and cyclists are crammed on to the narrow, bumpy pavement. Behind this viewpoint the cycle route disappears down a narrow footpath and takes a sharp right under a low bridge. It felt socially unsafe even on a sunny Summer's day. This is typical British rubbish that does not encourage cycling. Neither does the dual carriageway with a fence down the middle, which just swaps poor social safety for poor subjective and objective safety.
