In 2015 Stephen Jones was one of the riders who completed the Tour de France One Day Ahead Challenge with former England Footballer Geoff Thomas. Stephen cycled all 21 stages of the Tour de France with ten other riders just 24 hours ahead of the professional peloton and in so doing they raised c.£1m for Birmingham Charity Cure Leukaemia.
You can hear Stephen’s story on this incredible challenge and be one of the first to see the promotional trailer for the Geoff Thomas/Lance Armstrong documentary that was filmed during the event.
Push Bikes AGM will be held this year on Tuesday 16th June, at Carrs Lane Church Centre (Carrs Lane, B4 7SX), starting at 7pm. At the AGM we will discuss Push Bikes' activities over the past year and make plans for the coming year. We will also elect the committee for the coming year and vote on motions submitted to the AGM.
The Canal & River Trust are organising this meeting for users of the West Midlands Waterways. Push Bikes would encourage people who use the canal towpaths to attend to find out what is going on and to support the work that the Canal & River Trust are doing. If you want to attend, please let C&RT know through their website. The meeting details are here.
