Push Bikes Goes Dutch

The Cooking Dutchman

The start of the tax year always represents a new beginning, and following a brief discussion at last month's campaigns meeting it was decided that Push Bikes should adopt Dutch as its official language. All meetings will be held in Dutch, and the English sections of this website will be deleted. This is in recognition of the Netherlands being foremost in the world of transport cycling, to the extent that Dutch even has more words for the bicycle than any other language. This alone will make discussion easier.

In announcing the new policy the current chair of Push Bikes, Chris Lowe, said, "Ik ben een sinaasappel, en de sinaasappel spreekt. Nederlands, alstublieft!"

"Ik ken de vrouw; wij fietsen graag. Ik hoor klompen en de lange meisjes, ik kook rijst, en jij leest het boek. Ik eet een boterham, zij koken pasta, en de eend eet de rijst niet."

"Hebt u pakken? Honden houden niet van hoeden!".

This is something that no-one in their right mind could possibly dispute.

Wij zijn uilen!
