Traffic Jam Outside the New Sainsbury's at Selly Oak
Traffic jam outside the new Sainsbury's at Selly Oak. Note the automotive city design of the junction, with multiple lanes, a bypass lane, and pedestrians channelled by fencing via multi-stage controlled crossings. Automotive city design is centred on private car usage, but since there is not enough space for everyone to drive everywhere, it simply creates traffic congestion.
