Push Bikes AGM will be held this year in the Warehouse Cafe, in the Friends of the Earth warehouse on Allison Street. The formal meeting will start at 7pm, but we will be there from 6pm onwards with a bring-and-share buffet.
We will report on the previous year and elect officers for the forthcoming year, and we will also discuss our campaign aims and strategies.
In the next 6 months, the A38 and A34 cycle routes will be completed, and although the soft cycle promotion measures, such as Big Birmingham Bikes, will be continuing, the only infrastructure project that is in the pipeline is for cycle and pedestrian crossings on the Pershore Road / Priory Road junction. With large scale transport projects such as the trams and rapid-transit bus routes being planned by the West Midlands Combined Authority, but no comparable plans emerging yet for cycling infrastructure, we need to discuss how our campaigning will change and where our focus should be.
